National Laboratory Week

Everyone,

This week is National Medical Laboratory week.

Each year, we like to do a little teambuilding and have some fun activities, during "Lab Week". It’s a chance for us to promote our profession and for other folks to get to know us a little better.
If you get a chance stop by the lab and tell the Ladies thank you for all the hard work they do to help take care of our patients.

I am attaching photos of our "decorate a potato" contest, and we are having a celebrity baby picture contest so stop by and participate if you get a chance

News from the Laboratory!

DID YOU KNOW?

When the Lab Labels print out, each label contains a code that tells what the specimen should be collected in?

On the Right side of the testing label is a 3 letter code in bold letters.

That three letter code corresponds to the container that the test should be collected in.

Ever wonder why the side of your ProTime label says BLT?

It doesn’t mean go make a tasty sandwich.  It actually means Blue Top.

April Birthdays

Fun Fact: April Fools' Day is celebrated in many countries on April 1 every year. Sometimes referred to as All Fools' Day, April 1 is not a national holiday, but is widely recognized and celebrated as a day when people play practical jokes and hoaxes on each other. In Italy, France and Belgium, children and adults traditionally tack paper fishes on each other's back as a trick and shout "April fish!" in their local languages (pesce d'aprile!, poisson d'avril! and aprilvis! in Italian, French and Dutch , respectively).
